John Landis brings more than 40 years of banking, trust, and wealth management experience to the CU Trust team. His executive experience in the banking industry includes specialization in private banking and wealth management, with expertise in implementing and managing the sale of investment and trust products.

Landis’ banking industry background includes executive positions and leadership roles at institutions including: America Group Retirement Strategies, JP Morgan Private Banking, Talmer Bank & Trust, and The Bank of Bloomfield Hills – The Private Bank, where he served as Managing Director–responsible for creating and managing the trust and investment business, including brokerage programs, business development, and sales training.

He also served at Comerica Bank for more than two decades, including roles of Vice President, Community Banking; Vice President and Senior Private Banking Officer; and Chairman & Managing Director, Comerica Securities.

Landis holds CFP designation; Series 7, 24, and 63 Securities Licenses, as well as a Life & Health Insurance License. He serves as an active Board Member of numerous community organizations. Landis is a graduate of Western Michigan University.
